These are pictures from the first three of four days hiking along the classic Inca trail from Pisqakucho to Macchu Picchu. The first day follows the Urubamba River, rising above the ruins of Llaqtapata and turning to follow the valley of Rio Kusichaca to Wayllabamba and then Tres Piedras to camp for the first night. The second day climbs over the pass of Warmiwañuska at 4200m (13,800 ft) and down again to camp within sight of the ruins Runkurakay. On the third day, we cross a second pass at about 12,874 ft and then proceed down to Sayaqmarka enjoying the cloud forest and more fantastic views until we reach our incredible third campsite on a ridge line at Phuyupatamarca at about 12,000 ft.
