I've made my first photo book using Apple's Aperture for this trip and I'm very happy with the results. It looks great for a little over a dollar per page. It’s not the same level of quality as you get from true photo prints or from a high quality “coffee table” book, but it’s definitely on par with color magazines. The design I put together is an 8.5 x 11” hardbound book with 48 pages, with a few choice images filling the page or even spanning facing pages.
