On June 29th 2007, Apple shipped the first version of the iPhone and on July 25th every Apple employee (including FileMaker employees) received a free iPhone. A few of us decided to celebrate by “camping out” –– fifteen minutes before the handout!

After seeing a spectacular video demonstration (via eepybird.com) making the rounds on the net, we thought we would have a little fun ourselves at our department’s BBQ lunch. Of course, five bottles has only just whetted our appetite — we’ll have to try some more “experiments” soon!

This year, FileMaker’s annual Developer Conference was held at Disney’s Coronado Springs in Orlando, Florida. We also visited the Magic Kingdom and Disney/MGM Studios parks. One amusing highlight was a session of “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” filled with FileMaker trivia questions answered by our Dev Con attendees.
